Organic Wild Thing Sourdough

Organic Wild Thing Sourdough

£5.00

Rustic, chewy, soulful country sourdough.

Product Details

Our Wild Thing sourdough is a true country classic — slow-fermented over two days for depth of flavour and easy digestion. Crafted with organic stoneground white wheat, high-extraction wheat (81%), whole wheat, and wholegrain rye, it strikes a beautiful harmony between softness and substance.

The crumb is chewy yet tender, while the dark caramelised crust brings a rustic intensity of flavour — earthy, nutty, and deeply satisfying. This loaf is bread at its most soulful.

Each loaf weighs 900g

Ingredients

Organic stoneground white wheat, organic high-extraction wheat (81%), organic whole wheat, organic wholegrain rye, spring water, organic sea salt, sourdough starter (flour, water).

Our Customer Questions

Does Wild Thing sourdough contain any additives or yeast?

No. Wild Thing is made with just organic flour, water, sea salt, and a living sourdough starter. It’s naturally leavened over 48 hours, with no commercial yeast, preservatives, or additives — just real bread made the traditional way.

What makes sourdough different to normal bread?

Sourdough is naturally fermented using wild yeasts and bacteria — no baker’s yeast or additives. This process creates complex flavours and improves digestibility.

Is your sourdough gluten free?

No — but many people with gluten sensitivity (not coeliac) find our long-fermented sourdough much easier to digest as the fermentation process naturally reduces the gluten levels within sourdough bread.

Can I freeze your bread?

Yes. We recommend slicing before freezing so you can defrost slice-by-slice. It reheats beautifully in the toaster.

How fresh is your bread?

It’s baked the day before your delivery and sent directly from our local bakery. Fresh, never frozen, and ready to slice.
