Is Seeded Rye heavier than other sourdoughs?
Rye naturally creates a denser texture than wheat, but this loaf is intentionally lighter thanks to the mix of light and dark rye flours. The addition of seeds and tin-baking gives it balance — hearty yet approachable.
What makes sourdough different to normal bread?
Sourdough is naturally fermented using wild yeasts and bacteria — no baker’s yeast or additives. This process creates complex flavours and improves digestibility.
Is your sourdough gluten free?
No — but many people with gluten sensitivity (not coeliac) find our long-fermented sourdough much easier to digest as the fermentation process naturally reduces the gluten levels within sourdough bread.
Can I freeze your bread?
Yes. We recommend slicing before freezing so you can defrost slice-by-slice. It reheats beautifully in the toaster.
How fresh is your bread?
It’s baked the day before your delivery and sent directly from our local bakery. Fresh, never frozen, and ready to slice.
