Pastured Unsmoked Bacon is beautifully balanced, richly savoury, and quietly indulgent. Made from pasture-raised pork and traditionally cured without nitrates, it offers a cleaner, more delicate flavour that allows the quality of the meat and fat to truly shine.

Our pigs are raised outdoors on pasture, free to forage naturally and grow at a slower pace, resulting in pork with deeper flavour, better texture, and beautifully marbled fat.

How to Store

We ship every Wednesday, and take our orders up to 1-week in advance. So make sure your order is submitted by 12pm Saturday for delivery the following week.

Is your bacon smoked?

No, this is traditionally cured unsmoked bacon, allowing the natural flavour of the pasture-raised pork to take centre stage.

Is your bacon nitrate free?

Yes. Our bacon is cured without added nitrates or nitrites. Many conventional cured meats contain these preservatives to extend shelf life and enhance colour, however excessive nitrate consumption has been linked to potential negative health effects. We prefer a slower, more traditional approach that keeps the ingredient list cleaner and the flavour more natural.

How are the pigs raised?

Our pigs are raised outdoors on pasture, with space to roam, forage, and behave naturally. A varied outdoor diet and slower growth rate contribute to richer flavour, better texture, and beautifully balanced fat.

What makes pastured pork different?

Pasture-raised pork tends to develop deeper flavour, darker meat, and more complex fat due to the animal’s natural movement, forage, and slower upbringing. The difference is noticeable both in the pan and on the plate.
