Our Customer Questions

Why is Heather Honey so thick?

It’s naturally thixotropic — its jelly-like structure is unique to heather nectar. That’s how you know it’s the real deal.

Does Heather Honey have any health benefits?

Yes — Heather Honey is one of the most medicinal honeys in the world. Naturally rich in antioxidants, minerals, and powerful antimicrobial compounds, it's been used for centuries to support immunity, soothe inflammation, and aid recovery. It’s nature’s quiet healer, straight from the wild British moors.

Is your honey pasteurised or filtered?

No. Our honey is raw, unfiltered, and cold-extracted. This keeps all of the natural enzymes, pollen, and beneficial compounds intact.

Why does honey crystallise?

Crystallisation is a sign of true raw honey. It means the product hasn’t been tampered with. You can gently warm the jar in hot water to return it to liquid form.

Is your honey from the UK?

Yes. We work exclusively with beekeepers in Cheshire. Every jar is 100% British.

Do you blend your honey?

Never. Each batch is single-origin and seasonal — its colour, flavour, and texture will vary naturally depending on forage.

Can I cook or bake with raw honey?

Absolutely. While raw honey is best enjoyed unheated to preserve its living enzymes, it can also be used in baking and cooking. It adds depth, natural sweetness, and a rich floral note to any dish. Just be aware that heating will neutralise some of its active properties.
